My Little Vintage Fair

My first time selling my vintage & handmade goods at a fair! The My Little Vintage Christmas fair last weekend was worth doing, but definitely need to change how I do it next time. We sold a fair bit and it was all good fun!

return to etsy

Sometime last year I decided to put my Etsy shop on hold as I could not commit to it with a part-time job and a toddler. Since Hesper is getting older and has started pre-school, I have been able to gradually create items that I'm happier with, with a view to re-opening it again one day. Although I only have a few bits so far, I decided to just get my Etsy shop up and running again.  I have the kids tops that I started screen printing with, plus a couple that I have appliqued, and I have just listed a couple of screen printed tea towels. I also have cushions and lamp shades that I have been working on - using screen printing, hand dye and organic fabrics, which I will list soon.... I finally feel like its starting to take shape!

what a difference a year makes

Our second Christmas with Hesper was a completely different experience to her first one. Last year, she was still in her bouncer, not walking and not really aware of what was going on... plus I just remember feeling so exhausted on Christmas day! This year, she it felt more like her first "proper" Christmas  as she sat on our bed in the morning opening her stocking presents to shrieks of "Wow!" and dragged any visitor by the hand to the advent calender in the hope of more chocolate! With the feeling now that Christmas is done for another year and a new year approaching, I am well aware that our third Christmas with her will be so different again, not that I am wishing the year away already, but I just love seeing the changes in her each day.
